The Dance Eternal

This is another of my happy ones, written for a certain woman.

C'est la vie!

You live,
You love,
You learn,
Practice for the finalé,
The final act,
But there'll be no curtain call for this performance,
The dance eternal,
Through this life and the next,
Dedication,
The burning fire,
The passion you ignited within me,
This life takes on new meaning,
Beauty unrealised,
This world a temple to your divinty,

Foot Falls

This peom I wrote on my way home from work on a quiet Sunday morning. This marks an up turn in my poetry; from depressed and angst to more happy. It wasn't to last! LoL

The first foot falls,
Through the virginal snow,
The city's crisp white blanket,
Sets the streets a glow,
The beauty of the inconvenience,
Oft' over looked,
The bracing winter wind,
The biting freezing cold,
Chills the bones,
Warms the heart,

Prayer

This was written on valentines morning when I was in work. I had no one to enjoy valentines day with this year so this is my "wish list" as it where.

Enjoy!

I pray for a pestilence,
I pray for a fire,
I pray for something,
Make the banal disappear,

I pray for another soul,
I pray for a kindred spirit,
I pray for a person,
With whom I can wait out the storm,

I pray for hope,
I pray for love,
I pray for sanctuary,
A mooring for my mind,

I pray for your warm embrace,
I pray for your tender hands,
I pray for a clue,
Your name,

I pray for sensibility,
I pray for enlightenment,
I pray for freedom,
Expression sans derision,

Hole in My Soul

I thought I'd throw this up to show that I can write some happy stuff. This was written on the 7th of february '08, when i was very happy. Amor, Lux et Pax!

The hole in my soul has been filled by you,
You dispersed the dark,
And beckoned the light,
Completed my puzzle,
Your the last jigsaw piece.

The spirit you've infused,
Elevates my soul,
Makes me saw,
Above the banality,
the crassness of humanity,
Let's me recognise the psychic vampires,

Ch:.      You came from no where,
              you brightened my life,
              You lifted my soul,
              Filled my life with light,
              The bond we share,
              Envelopes me completely,
Every fibre in my being screams your name,

Your my sun,
My moon,
My stars,
My sky,
Your presence on earth,
Is just divine,
You weaken my knees,
You strenghen my soul,
You light up my life,
Your the first rays of light,
The early morn' dew,

You (tap)

I wrote this around Christmas 2007. I wasn't very happy then (you may actually be able to tell! LoL!). Angst ridden, I know you've got to vent somehow. :-P

The hole in my soul can't be filled by you,
The love that I feel slowly replaced by hate,
Can you hate those you've loved?

I can feel the wrath in my veins,
Add to my multitude of sins,
F**k your short sighted petty bulls**t,
Time is nothing in a schismed mind,
The unconditional love I gave,
Fades to nothing,
A worthless pile of tainted ash,

Ch:.      You forget the past,
              You embrace the pain,
You don't credit what I know,
Persecuted me for others petty f**king lies,
Find security in your f**king shattered mind,
              Your own shallow reality,
              Your addled little brain.

The pity I feel warps to contempt,
The love we held shattered by your insecurity,
My red is your grey,
Your grey is my black,
(i tried to love,
Share my stability,)
Can't remove you from your comfort zone,
Your delusional f**king squalor.

Ch:.      You forget the past,
              You embrace the pain,
You don't credit what I know,
Persecuted me for others petty f**king lies,
Find security in your f**king shattered mind,
              Your own shallow reality,
              Your addled little brain.

The hole in my soul can't be filled by you,
The love that I feel replaced by hate,
Can you hate those you've loved?
It certainly looks that way.

Scabs

I wrote this after discussing emotional pain with my friend. I'm quite pleased with the use the of the metaphor. My english teacher would be proud! :-p

Time heals nothing,
Merely numbs the pain,
The scabs of past experiences,
Forever on the surface remain,

The friction of the past takes the scabs away,
Blood wells from within,
Pouring from the vein,
The pain is renewed,
Searing and sustained,
The scab will reform,
Ready for the next time,
A plaster for a stab to the soul
